Adrian Binney takes his educational responsibilities just as seriously as his clinical work and has long been recognised as an accomplished teacher of advanced dental techniques.

He is regularly invited to speak on Periodontology (gum problems), and Dental Implantology throughout the UK, providing teaching to postgraduate dentists by lecture and with hands-on surgical courses.

He is past chairman of the South Wales, British Dental Association and for several years served on the national UK committee of the Association of Dental Implantology – a national body representing implant dentists throughout the UK. He has extensive teaching experience and is a clinical lecturer at Cardiff Dental School, University of Wales in Dental Implantology. He lectures, on invitation, throughout the UK.

Lecturing and examining

Adrian has undertaken a full time lecturing post teaching dentistry to undergraduates. He also examines in both final dental degrees and at Masters level. Adrian is a part-time clinical lecturer teaching Dental Implantology at Cardiff Dental School, the Diploma in Dental Implantology in Cardiff and the Master’s Degree at the University of Wales. He has also examined on these courses.

He often lectures in both Periodontology and Dental Implantology, as well as hosting hands-on teaching courses for postgraduate dentists throughout the year. These ensure that he is continually teaching and connecting with fellow colleagues and practitioners, one of the major areas of expertise he really enjoys.
